Privacy notice

This notice explains how Maisie's Resin uses your personal information. Maisie's Resin is responsible for your information (the “data controller”). You can contact us at hello@maisiesresin.co.uk.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, and what you bought. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
• When you contact us: your name, email address and message.
• If you join our mailing list: your email address and when you agreed to hear from us.

How we use it

• To process, deliver and support your order, and to send you order and dispatch emails. We need this to carry out our contract with you.
• To reply to your messages, which is in our legitimate interest in running the shop.
• To send occasional news about new pieces, only if you’ve opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link.
• To keep the records we’re legally required to keep, such as our accounts.

Who we share it with

We only share what’s needed with the services that run the shop:

• Stripe, for payments and fraud prevention
• Vercel, which hosts the website
• Neon, our secure database
• Google, whose Gmail service we use to send and receive email
• Royal Mail, which delivers your parcel

Some of these providers process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law. We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting rules. Messages are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies and storage

We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser stores your basket and saved pieces on your own device so they’re still there when you come back. Stripe uses cookies during checkout to take payment securely and prevent fraud. These are all strictly necessary for the shop to work, so we don’t ask for consent.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@maisiesresin.co.uk and we’ll reply within one month. Some records, such as order details we must keep for tax purposes, can’t be deleted until that period ends.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
